BSync is a mobile app that automatically syncs and tracks financial transactions from bank SMS messages. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. By using the app, you agree to the terms in this policy.
2. Data We Collect
• Content of SMS messages from banks and financial institutions only • Extracted transaction details (amount, date, transaction type) • Login credentials stored encrypted on the device • Hashed device identifiers to prevent duplicate device registration and enforce subscription limits — not shared with third parties • Basic device information (OS, version, model) for technical support Note: We do not read or store personal SMS outside financial messages. Messages are filtered on the device before processing.
3. Permissions Required
READ_SMS / RECEIVE_SMS — Read and receive SMS to extract bank transaction details automatically. POST_NOTIFICATIONS — Send instant notifications when a new financial transaction is detected. FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC — Run a background sync service so transactions are not lost. FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE — Keep SMS capture reliable when the app runs in the background. RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — Restart sync services automatically after device reboot. WAKE_LOCK — Keep the processor active briefly while receiving and processing SMS. BROADCAST_SMS — Receive incoming SMS in real time.
4. How We Use Your Data
• Parse bank SMS messages and extract transaction details • Sync transactions to your account for dashboard visibility • Send instant notifications when a new transaction is detected • Improve recognition accuracy for different bank message formats We do not use your data for marketing or advertising.
5. Data Storage and Security
• Login credentials are stored on the device using Expo Secure Store (OS-level encrypted storage) • Transaction data is uploaded to our servers over encrypted HTTPS connections • Raw SMS content is not retained on servers — only structured financial fields extracted from messages
6. Sharing With Third Parties
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for commercial purposes. The app does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We may disclose data only when required by law, to protect our legal rights, or in a merger or acquisition with prior notice to you.
7. Your Rights
• Access: View your stored data inside the app • Correction: Edit transactions that were classified incorrectly • Deletion: Permanently delete your account and data from app settings • Withdraw consent: Revoke SMS permissions anytime from device settings
